Offering a wide range of popular programs as part of our group fitness schedule we aim to go beyond the basic repertoire of fitness. A unique blend of workout techniques that will leave you feeling fresh, keep you inspired and add versatility to your training schedule.

If variety in your workout is what you require, our unique group classes will fill that requirement. Flexibility, cardiovascular (CV), resistance-training, core, and a combination of all these disciplines are available at the classes. . Training in a group is motivating and fun, while Participating in a range of exercises during class is an excellent way of building all-round fitness.


Studio X Classes


TRX

Change the way you train with TRX Suspension Training that include body weight exercises which simultaneously develops strength, power, endurance, mobility, durability, balance, flexibility, and core stability in the body by the user’s body weight against gravity to complete hundreds of exercises. This class is geared to make you sweat and push your limits.


Body Sculpt

Body Sculpt class combines weights and cardio for maximum results. The class is a full body workout and fast paced to burn and strength within the 60 minutes. The weights help to build muscle while the cardio helps burn calories. Exercises include, burpees, squats, kettlebell swing, tricep dips, mountain climbers etc.


Pilates

Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. This class is great for anymore who wants to tone, elongate muscles, increase core endurance and rehabilitate.


Tabata

Tabata is a 60 minute high-intensity interval training class, alternating between 20 seconds of max workouts followed by a 10-second rest for a total of eight rounds. Exercises consist of squats, burpees, lunges, jumping jacks and can incorporate weights using dumbells, medicine ball and kettlebell. These workouts are fast-paced and challenging to keep the body burning calories while gaining strength, stamina and endurance.


Circuit Training

Circuit Training is a form of body conditioning or resistance training using high-intensity workouts for 1 minute or 30 seconds per exercise. Circuit training targets strength building and muscular endurance. An exercise “circuit” is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, one begins the first exercise again for the next circuit. Traditionally, the time between exercises in circuit training is short for minimal recovery period.


Kettlebell

Kettlebell exercises work on compound exercises; using more than one muscle at a time without isolation and hence increasing overall strength. An example of a strength workout combines kettlebell swings, front squats and reverse lunges. Further, kettlebells strengthen the tendons and ligaments, making the joints tougher and less-susceptible to injury.


Kickboxing

Melt fat, fast. Combining martial arts techniques and heart-pumping cardio, kickboxing is a high-energy workout that is guaranteed to burn calories and fat through punches and kicks!


Yogalates

Is a fusion of Pilates and Yoga: combining the benefits of strength training of Pilates and the flexibility of yoga. Benefits include flexibility, muscle toning and endurance of the mind and body.


Step Aerobics

Step Aerobics is a form of aerobic exercise using an elevated platform (the step). Set to music and choreography to increase your heart rate and burn calories!


Core

Physical strength starts in the core. Working the abdominal muscles for one hour through various exercises geared to strengthen the core. Classes include Ab N Bum, and Core Power Yoga.


Yoga Basics

Start with the foundations of yoga. A practice focused on introducing the basic concepts and postures of Yoga. You come to learn your alignments and how to connect your breath with your body in each pose. Level: 1

Yoga Flow A dynamic practice focused on moving the body with the breath; One breath: One movement. Poses are generally held for a short period of time and focus on the flow of the breath is encouraged with the purpose of focusing the mind and body. Level 1 & Level 2.


Core Power Yoga

This is a specialised power yoga class focused on strengthening the core muscles. Core strengthening postures along with breathing techniques are incorporated to engage and deepen the abdominal muscles. This intensive class builds on the strength acquired in Level 1 classes to take on more challenging poses and sequences. Classes are taught with modifications to allow an easy transition from Level 1 to Level 2. Full inversions, arm balances and advance poses are included in this class. Always remember, a strong core leads to a strong back, heightened immunity and an improved metabolic rate. Suitable for intermediate yoga practitioners with a consistent practice.

Level: Transcendence: Level 2.


YinYang

A rejuvenating practice that combines the element of strengthening and stretching with the purpose of balancing the body and mind. You will experience both; an energizing Yang practice combined with long held deep Yin stretches to cultivate a focused and meditative mind. Inversions, arm balances and intermediate poses may be introduced in this class.

Suitable for beginners and students with some yoga experience looking to balance their strength and flexibility.
